thank you to my ladies

in times of
much thanks

a snippet from my facebook today, thanking the ladies of my bachelorette weekend for a wonderful time. itinerary of what we did to be posted soon!

“I can finally write this after finally recovering (sort of…). Thank you to my best friends for making my bachelorette so memorable… or not. Everything was absolutely perfect. Having all my best friends in one place was such a treat (#kimtrit, that is). Seeing all your similarities and what ties you all to me in one place was enlightening and humorous as well. ❤ Thank you! Sylvia Melissa Jessica Janice Diane Marci  P.S. Melissa is a beast behind wheels. She drove 17 hours straight to get us home after our flight was cancelled. Jess stayed up with her most of the way & I slept like a baby in the back 😉 This is a moment I felt like adults for once… just handing sht when it all went down.”

Flight of Man

in times of
uncovered words circa 2010

Flight of Man

In the shadows of the night illuminated by the still moon

A few minutes before the first break of the day when

The melodies of the nightingale or the song of the starling

Could be heard in the distant east fading with the sunrise

All I hear is the rumbling tune of the man-made sky bird

Born of materials unrefined from this earth fabricated for

Modern day drifters killing time for take-offs then landings

Only to repeat the cycle of waiting for departures and arrivals

But not of the sunrise or the birds of the night or even the

Raw wealth of the earth that brought us this far and this high

Boost Energy & Balance Emotions in 5 minutes with Jin Shin Jyutsu

With Jin Shin Jyutsu, you can perform touch therapy on yourself to boost your energy and balance emotions. By holding different parts of your hand, you can heal different parts of your body, which are tied to specific emotions. For example, to sooth stress and worry, I would hold my thumb for 3-5 minutes while breathing deeply.

Check out this Soul Spot TV diagram and details on their page.

More about Jin Shin Jyutsu
“Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient Japanese Healing Art. When an energy pathway in the body becomes blocked, energy stagnates. While initially this affects the local area of stagnation, it can create imbalance along the entire pathway. By using our hands and placing them on certain areas of the body, we allow blocked energy pathways to once again flow freely. This helps to keep the body free of disease; it eliminates stress, helps change our focus, relieves pain and alleviates acute and chronic conditions. Jin Shin Jyutsu balances mind, body and spirit.” (http://jsjnewyork.com/)

More about my interest in the Mind Body Connection
I’ve been suffering from nerve pains in my legs, face, shoulders, feet and hands for the past two years. I’ve been discovering that these pains are not from herniated discs but instead myofascial trigger points that cause the muscle to tense up and affect the nerves passing through the muscle. The reason for these knots are because of emotional or mental tension in the mind signaling the brain to cut off oxygen and blood flow to these parts of the muscles. The defense mechanism of this is so that the ego focuses on physical pains rather than hard to deal emotional pains. Thus, it’s a distraction from what’s truly going on. I’ve been doing a lot of internal work on myself from treating myself nicer and uncovering repressed emotions from my childhood I never dealt with, and I’ve been physically getting better! I truly believe that the mind body connection is strong, and that the solution to getting physically getting better comes from within. I will continue to share whatever I find in hopes that you get better too!

subconscious solutions

in times of
subconscious solutions

Lately I’ve been taking advantage of my sleeping state to solve subconscious issues I’ve been having or had (problems within your subconscious are timeless. Issues you’ve had when you were younger can still exist now deep inside your mind just as they were at that age).

Last night, I had a simple and “normal” enough dream to be able to share it!

I was in a dimly lit house and started getting swarmed by insects like horse flies. There were probably hundreds of them. I was trying to turn on the light because I knew if I turned on the light, they would go away. The harder I tried to reach the light, the more the insects swarmed. They were on my mouth, on my eyes, getting in my ears… seriously, everywhere. After a few minutes, I said, “I love and accept myself. I am free. LET GO”, and as I yelled, “LET GO”, the lights came on and the swarm flew away.

Dream interpretations site say the insects represent something bugging (pun intended…) me that’s preventing me from moving forward. In addition, the swarm symbolizes some negative energy or influence in my waking life.

By making the insects go away, I hope this means I’m one step closer to closing the gap between my subconscious and conscious mind and living less of a dichotomic life (even if I’m unaware of it).

In the past three weeks, I’ve had a few “sleep solutions”, which include acceptance of guilt I’ve held since childhood, of the self, and of my position in society.

Try it! What inner issues could you confront and embrace or dissipate?
