Boost Energy & Balance Emotions in 5 minutes with Jin Shin Jyutsu

With Jin Shin Jyutsu, you can perform touch therapy on yourself to boost your energy and balance emotions. By holding different parts of your hand, you can heal different parts of your body, which are tied to specific emotions. For example, to sooth stress and worry, I would hold my thumb for 3-5 minutes while breathing deeply.

I’ve been suffering from nerve pains in my legs, face, shoulders, feet and hands for the past two years. I’ve been discovering that these pains are not from herniated discs but instead myofascial trigger points that cause the muscle to tense up and affect the nerves passing through the muscle. The reason for these knots are because of emotional or mental tension in the mind signaling the brain to cut off oxygen and blood flow to these parts of the muscles. The defense mechanism of this is so that the ego focuses on physical pains rather than hard to deal emotional pains. Thus, it’s a distraction from what’s truly going on. I’ve been doing a lot of internal work on myself from treating myself nicer and uncovering repressed emotions from my childhood I never dealt with, and I’ve been physically getting better! I truly believe that the mind body connection is strong, and that the solution to getting physically getting better comes from within. I will continue to share whatever I find in hopes that you get better too!

At first, I thought my blog would solely be about food and the environment because, well, I love both!  But being practical now for the purposes of blogging– I love a lot of things and want to go off on more tangents about my current affairs and past lives to truly give you the picture of the whole me.  I have plenty of passion and a never ending trail of words to express it.  It’s time to start dreaming bigger.

Up above, I’m wearing my mom’s beautiful red dress. I haven’t seen my mom in fifteen years, but moments like these, when I slip into the only dress I have of her’s and it fits me ever so perfectly, I know I am her daughter.

Tomato basil garlic juice

I’ve been replacing a meal or two everyday with a juice. I eat like 5 meals a day so that still leaves room for some normal size meals and proper caloric intake.

This ones about to be a tomato basil garlic juice!

Juicing is a great way for your body to absorb the fullest amount of vitamins from your fruits and veggies. It’s tasty too!

Quinoa with basil tomatoes garlic


I had leftover quinoa (a superfood) so I tossed it with olive oil, lemon, avocados, tomatoes, garlic, basil and salt- all which are healthy for you!

Did someone say protein, vitamin c, lycopene, iodine, anti inflammatory properties, healthy oils and yumminess? (those are the healthy properties I could think of off the top of my head. I’m sure there are tons more!)
